North Central Adirondacks
We are at the cross roads of paddling, hiking, and cycling. Our Outpost is located on the new Adirondack Rail Trail, on the Floodwood Loop Paddling Trail, and surrounded by numerous day hikes.
At the Center of Recreation
Whether it's day hikes, a canoe trip, a multi-day cycling trip or a combination of the three, we have the resources to help. We've published the Adirondack Rail Trail Map covering the 34 mile rail trail, spanning the three popular recreation communities of Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake. We are on the rail trail between Lake Clear and Tupper Lake and on the Floodwood Loop canoe trail at the portage connecting the 'St Regis Canoe Wilderness and the Saranac Lake Wild Forest. Our store is well stocked with the essentials.

Note: DEC public parking lots & bathrooms are available near the Outpost. We do not have public facilities.
