Hoel Pond Trail (1.7 miles one way)
This trail leads west along the south shore of Hoel Pond and connects with the Rail Trail. There is considerable blow-down on the last third of this trail, but it's a pleasant walk
The Fish Creek Loop Trail has become a popular, rugged, single track bike loop leading from Floodwood Rd to Fish Creek Campground and return. It is shown on the Adirondack Rail Trail Map. The complete loop is about 8 miles.
Track Pond Trail (1.5 mile round trip)
This 3/4 mile walk leads from Floodwood Rd to the shore of Long Pond with an impressive stand of Hemlocks. This trip can be made into a 2.5 mile loop utilizing the rail trail and Floodwood Rd.
The Floodwood-Long Pond Portage (1.5miles round trip)
This trip passes a beaver dam on rolling terrain and extends to the shore of Long Pond.
Esker Trail (about 2 miles)
The Esker Trail provides a loop along a beautiful esker ridge between two ponds and utilizes about a mile walk on Floodwood Rd.
Rock Pond Trail (about 2 miles)
The Rock Pond Trail is an out and back trip to a secluded pond with a small beach.
Long Pond Mountain (canoe & hike)
This remote mountain requires a canoe or kayak to access the Trail Head. It is about 5 miles round trip on water and about 3.2 round trip of walking. The summit is about 930 feet up from the lake.
Great views of the Wilderness Area with the High Peaks in the distance.
Floodwood Mountain (1.8 mi. Round trip and 700 ft uphill)
A great hike for families. The trail head for this trail is on the Floodwood Mountain Loop off the Rail Trail. About 1.8 miles round trip.
